Mason and I sit across from each other at a small table at Millay’s Pub, the closest bar to Rock Out. We left as soon as we got some clothes on, and Millay’s was only a three-minute drive in his Jeep.
We jointly decided on a table, rather than seats at the bar. I know I wanted as many chances as possible to look at his face, and I’m pretty sure Mason felt the same.
“What’s your poison?” the waitress asks.
“A Moscow Mule,” I say.
“No way!” Mason tells the waiter, “Make that two,” then turns back to me and says, “It’s my favorite, too.”
The waiter leaves and Mason takes my hand in his. “So, Miss Amber, what made you decide to try rock climbing?”
“New Year’s resolution. I wanted to get out of my comfort zone and do something different.”
His smile slowly turns into a grin, then a laugh, though he’s obviously trying hard to suppress it. “I guess we accomplished that tonight, right?”
I laugh, too. “Not exactly what I had in mind, but… damn.” I blush when I think of Mason behind me on that wall, thrusting his cock into me. “Yeah, I think I knocked out that resolution quickly.”
“I’m sure we can come up with other new and exciting things to try.”
I raise an eyebrow.
“I mean, if you think maybe we should see each other again,” he says.
“We should,” I reply. “I think we kind of have to, no? I don’t get naked thirty feet in the air and let just any guy have his way with me. We could try something else tonight, seeing as how I’m not wearing a bra or panties.”
Mason is amused. “Yeah, sorry about that. Some things can’t be helped. I’ll take you to Victoria’s Secret and you can go nuts.”
“Speaking of which…”
“What?”
“You had those clothes ready, and the things to secure me to the wall. And the scissors.” Mason is laughing again now. “And the condom! That wasn’t spur of the moment, you planned it in advance, didn’t you? That’s why you asked me to come in after hours. You had already decided to get into my pants. Or cut my pants off me, actually.”
“Guilty as charged.” He squeezes my hand. “Like I said earlier, I knew from the very first time I saw you that you were the kind of girl—”
“Who would let you have your way with me on the wall?” I ask rhetorically, still amazed that I was the girl who did that.
“No, the kind of girl I could fall for if I’m not careful.”
Whoa. I didn’t see that coming. “Be careful, then. We wouldn’t want that, would we?”
“Too late, I’m afraid.”
Damn, this could be real. I’m beyond relieved that Mason likes me that much, because the feeling is definitely mutual.
“As for the wall, the truth is that I’ve always wanted to try that, but I had to wait for the right girl.”
“How did you know you’d found her?” I ask, curious why I was the chosen one.
“I don’t know. I just had a feeling that second lesson, when you froze on that wall.
